Park 1 Beckenham Park, Laguna Hills Today Sharon and I decided to take a drive and planned to go to Dana Point for a picnic lunch. Unfortunately, today is Friday and we left at 2:30. As you might guess we got on the freeway and it was stop and go traffic (so much for pandemic light traffic, those days are gone). We got off at the first exit and went to a park I used to visit with my grandfather, Roland. It was a beautiful day (72 ° ) and not very crowded. We were able to get a table by ourselves in the covered area of the park. When we finished we walked the outer sidewalk around the park. Kids, dogs and sunshine made for a wonderful few hours out. On our way home we decided that we would try to visit, walk or lunch at all the parks in Orange County. When we got home I realized that this was a HUGE undertaking as there are 21 Regional parks, and 40 cities with anywhere from 20 - 40 parks each. We may shoot for the south county area or at least start with the 31 parks in our city....
